I made a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! about this car this week. It got done today. I ain’t even mad. The customer - a woman who had just retired from pharmaceutical sales and was downsizing and simplifying her life - was thrilled.

Do you even armrest, bro?

Retiring from pharmaceutical sales? She must have been like 30, or even 32! :D

not thusly equipped. base model. I’d have put a diamond stitched gray cover on it if it had one.

I’ve said this before, but I wish you were closer to me. I think your shop does nice work and I am desperate to replace my front seat covers.

Looks awesome! Do you guys do all the stitching/sewing? Or do you order them, and just replace?
![]() 04/29/2016 at 12:28 |

We’re an installation shop. We do the install. All of the sewing is done at our production facilities in LA.

that looks well done. Do these replace the factory seat covers or just go over them? Sometimes I feel like I want to replace the burlap sackcloth that Ford decided to use in my Ranger.

We cut the fabric off and install these over the factory foam. We have a 10-11 Ranger EXT cab XLT kit for trucks with the sport buckets. If you’re in the Charlotte area I’ll ask the boss for a deal on it. It’s a medium gray.

Nope. I’m in Detroit.
Mine’s an ‘11 Sport with the 60/40 bench anyway.

That’s the one thing that keeps me out of bargain basement cheap cars. At least the Mazda2 I lust for has an OPTIONAL accessory armrest available.

I admire your work, but I wouldn’t in a million years do something like this. Super cheap car with Bentley wannabe interior.
Now, replacing the middle portion of a seat with perforated alcantara or something grippy - that would be OK.

That’s hot. How much does something like that. I’d love to do an upgrade like this on my wife Fit someday. and heated seats.
![]() 04/29/2016 at 12:52 |

We would be able to do the whole thing heat, stitched leather and all in a fit for about 1400 out the door.

I can't tell, is that pewter or silver? Anyway, totally changes the look of the car. One other thing, I noticed the steering wheel, did you guys wrap that too, or did it come that way from Toyota?
![]() 04/29/2016 at 14:06 |

Wow that’s cheap.

We call it 092 Stone. It’s a pretty common gray - it matches up with the light gray plastics and vinyl in Toyota Camry/Highlander/Rav4 and Honda Accord from about 2008-present.
And the wheel is covered with a PepAutoBoyZone cover.

We have natural suede and ultrasuede.
![]() 04/29/2016 at 14:49 |

Alcantara is basically Ultrasuede, just made by another company and they have slight differences. They are both microfibers - you just know you are getting good quality stuff if you use one of those name brands.
I sold furniture for way too long...
![]() 04/29/2016 at 14:55 |

We could do a two-row in leather and ultrasuede for 950 or so. It’s easier to just put a whole new kit in it than to cut and sew pieces. Natural suede would be $50 more. Not bad, considering.

Oh, and here I thought the wheel looked like a nice wrapping job. Lol

so how do compensate for airbags built into the factory seats?
![]() 04/29/2016 at 21:02 |
|
The covers are designed to break apart at the seams where the airbags are located. Just like factory leather or cloth.
